Corinne Shearer

Artistic Direction
Choreographer, Dancer

Corinne Shearer is a freelance dancer, choreographer, and teaching artist. Shearer graduated from the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase (BFA in Performance, Concentration in Dance Composition.) She has presented original material for the stage and film both locally and internationally at numerous venues across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Jersey City including Dixon Place, Triskelion Arts, Arts on Site, SMUSH Gallery, The Baumann, and the Actors Fund Arts Center, as well as in the UK at the University of East London Stratford, and the Short+Sweet Festival in Los Angeles. Shearer has been an artist-in-residence at The Triple Nine Festival and was selected to perform an evening length work for Triskelion Arts’ Split Bill. Her most recent work was named "Director's Choice" at Spoke The Hub's Winter Follies.She is also on staff at the West Side YMCA with the Early Education and Arts departments.

Alex Bittner

Administrative Assistant, Frequent Collaborator

Alex Bittner was raised in Brooklyn, New York, where she began her dancing with the Mark Morris Student Company. She attended LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts, and continued on to graduate from the Dance Conservatory at SUNY Purchase. She's had the pleasure of performing works by Alexandra Beller, Jose Limon, MADBoots Dance, Martha Graham, and more. Alex has performed with Bittory, the Creators Collective, the Dance Collective, Dunn Danse, Dash Mob, Zoo City, and more.

Jess Malat

Frequent Collaborator

Jessica Malat, a New Jersey native, began her professional training at Goucher College in Baltimore. She then relocated to New York to further her training with the Pushing Progress Contemporary Training Program where she trained with Calen Kurka, Chris Hale, Loni Landon, Bryn Cohn, Sidra Bell, and Gregory Dolbashian. She has additionally trained under the direction of Summer Lee Rhatigan at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. Jessica has had the pleasure of performing at CUNY BaruchPAC, the Scottish Masonic Performing Arts Center in San Francisco, and Chop Shop Festival in Seattle in works by Alex Ketley, Courtney Mazieka, Calen Kurka, and Trebien Pollard. She currently dances with Bryn Cohn + Artists, Corinne Shearer and Dancers, in addition to other NYC based projects. Jessica recently graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors in Sociology and Women’s and Gender Studies and is teaching in the tri-state area while working as a freelance artist in New York.

Larissa Asebdeo

Frequent Collaborator

Larissa Asebedo is originally from the Denver area where she began her training in classical ballet. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.F.A. from the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College, SUNY. In her third year Larissa had the privilege of studying abroad at the Western Australian Academy of the Performing Arts in Perth. During her studies she worked with Kyle Abraham, The Merce Cunningham Trust, Xan Burley, and John Heginbotham. Recently Larissa has worked in freelance professional projects with Lisa Fagan Dance Problems, Megan Mizanty, Kensaku Shinohara, John Zullo, Asako Miyahira, and Fooju Dance Collaborative. She is currently based out of New York City and also dances with Stephen Petronio Dance Co.
