Nice Girls aims to show women as they are. Women are freer and more respected than they have been in the scope of recent memory, but many realities of femininity and womanhood are still denied, denigrated, and taxed by the political and social powers that be. This work strives to make space for women, and span the spectrum of individuals who identify with what it means to be feminine, to be a woman. This work is as concerned with tenderness as it is with strength; independence as much as interdependence. This film upholds the belief that the mere act of seeing and allowing someone the chance to be seen is an act of revolution and pivotal step towards empathy and the validation of all human life.
Nice Girls has been shown at the Smashworks Film Festival, SPARK Film Festival, Triskelion Art's Film Festival, and Trans(m)it: Movement in Film in London, UK.
